When I first put the replacement engine in my '89 na I started it a few
times while it was still on the jack stands. It started and ran fine. As
soon as I took it off the stands it would not even begin to crank. With
some help from the list I ran a heavy additional ground cable from the
battery terminal to the transmission and all was well. A connection was
coming and going This just came up again for someone else. I think I
remember that my starter would at least click though??
