Check the water filler cap. If this is faulty then failure to fully pressurise will lead to high temperatures. If you have any spares try swapping them around and see the differences in running temp. [even between 'good' caps] They can easily get gritty. Most styles will come apart for cleaning under tap [fawcett]??
