Starter solenoids pull an amazing amount of current, something like 20 amps continuous. So any minor increase in resistance in
the wiring/switches/etc. can have a big impact. Even 0.1 ohms of additional resistance could lead to a 2 volt drop and that
might be enough to cause problems. Especially considering the starter will pull down the battery when it starts to run, maybe
enough that the solenoid starts to drop out.
