Nick
I haven't been following this group so closely - been busy over at the
veggie conversion site
(http://biodiesel.infopop.cc/eve/ubb.x/a/frm/f/159605551)
when you say you 'pulled the cam off' the lifters, do you mean out?
I haven't been inside this engine yet, but when I rebuilt a Chevy 305 I
remember the cam had to be slid out of the head
guess I'd prefer not to remove the head (yet) so if this is the way to,
please tell me more
thanks
(yes, the engines are similar
but mine is transverse, 5-cyl, 2 timing belts, one crank-to-cam, one
cam-to-pump)
