My 16 year old daughter, who's life is mostly as a basketball player,
somehow decided that she wants my 91 Jetta as her wheels.  Daily pestering
to clear the garage for a cylinderhead pull.  She's read Bentley, and
has created a sequenced list of the things we're doing on a spreadsheet.
A week ago we started it up, and ran it around the loop several times
to get the rust off the rotors.  I haven't heard the end of it yet.
I wonder if she thinks it'll be a guy magnet?

The basketball game is fine ---but the trip to the quarry for a COOL swim afterwards ?

Little "Hopie" is now a Tall slam dunker --star player in Seattle -------am I optimistic ?
bet your sweet ass -----that the new generation of kids --will DO ?   --yes they will do
a LOT better than WE did.  ---- I am part of the wasteful generation-----were we wrong?
and short sighted ? --yes we were.

Would I give the 1982 Rabbit  1,6L NA  to "Little"   Hopie   ???? at the blink of an eye.
Would I insist that she study Diesels ?  ----bet your sweet ass.

Her cute Mother   ----Mary-Ann  Doig   ---told me that little Hopie  did a class assignment
about her vacations up here in the great white north -----those times were very happy
in my life. -----just love to see how the younger generation ---progresses.    On my satellite was
a story about a Japanese Teacher and his  class 4  " Children full of LIFE " ----one strange
teacher. ---real fun to watch.    -----from there to teach them about Diesels and Hydrogen and
Canola and Alcohol ? ----yeah it may come to that.      Just think    Energy use 101 in grade 1 ?
It will happen if I have any say.

Val and ALL :   when Hagar first came to the USA   in 1953  ---I was smitten with
the good old American boy ---OBSESSION  ---the wheels.  After changing my first
flathead V 8  Ford engine in 1954 in Bainbridge Georgia  ???----I was HOOKED.

And I am still at it. -----at 73. ---------------- years ago this CUTE female Doctor    told
me that what she REALLY wanted to do was to get inside that engine  ----(camaro)
just like I was doing ---go figure.   And yes we do have a Female Mechanic in this town.
She is the wife of a friend of mine.

So Val give her all the encouragement that you can muster.
