aargh!
after getting direct permission some days ago from the acting Chief of 
Police to leave my van on the side of the road and continue to work on 
it, some happy-go-lucky Leverett officer came in this morning and had 
me towed
now my van is in the pound, they want $110 bucks, the acting chief is 
on vacation, and I can't work on my car
and the fee, which I am currently refusing to pay, goes up another $20 
tomorrow morning
you think if I pay it there's any way I am ever going to see that money 
again before hell freezes over? I don't
(not to mention that I am barely scraping together enough pocket change 
to pay the head-rebuilding guy, and I am subsisting on free bread from 
the local Food Bank, bless them)
