[Vwdiesel] Speedo numbers

I Hagar has been following this discussion  ---with keen interest.

Bunny Bondo   girl is perfect in every way as a transporter  ----BUT     she has one little
flaw.  -----    The trip Odometer. ----- I pushed the reset too hard ? and now she goes
click -click -------------------------click .     --------And I am paranoid ---about removing anything
on the dash.

It is a real handy thing to have when doing Smileage tests ---and this one was accurate.
Accurate ?   ----incredible.     Time and time again I tested her according to kilometer
markers on Highway 101 --------down to inches -----+ - .  All the spare ones here are 
1980 models   and they do NOT have the tripper. ---shit.

The Bentley I got VRD4  is as clear as MUD  on speedos and cables and gears.

Exactly what year did production of VW diesels start in the US of A. ?   Now with a bit of
help from you guys  ---maybe ---just maybe I can swap speedos 1982 and 19 84 ?

I need the tripper more on Bunny Bondo  --than on Bunny Clonk. (Man did she clonk or what)
when I got her.
