The higher pressure and temps inside the cylinder during hard driving
keeps the rings pressed out against the cylinder walls. If the engine
is babyed the rings will not excert enough pressure against the cylinder
walls to keep the oil scraped off. The resulting thin layer of oil will
carmilize (glazing) on the cylinder walls and the rings will not seat.
