Hi Mike-
I cannot think of any reason you couldn't directly
connect the bus bar to the battery. Just make sure
you use a big enough wire to handle the current.
Also, I'm really sure you could do it for 30 seconds.
I think that is how long the light stays on when it is
super cold out.
If you try ether, I'd disconnect the bus bar to the
plugs to make sure they don't accidently turn on and
blow up the engine. Also, I've heard more than one
person say that you should't spray it into the intake,
but rather get some on a rag, and place it right
infront of the intake, so it will only suck in some
fumes.
