[Vwdiesel] Bad car week

VW warranty's them up to 70K miles.  My Golf has 94K miles on it.

Sorry to hear about it Matt.  I think I remember someone ( maybe you? )
indicating that the MAF were problematic and that VW was warrantying them
past the warranty?

I just need to vent.

My Golf yesterday decided to lose all of its power on the freeway.
BAM!  Can't accelerate anymore.  I went to a friends house who has a
VAG-COM, and found that the MAF is dead.  Again.  The first one lasted
56K miles, and the second 40K.  Stupid car.

So I start getting the Rabbit prepped.  I had recently installed an oil
baffle to try to prevent some of the blowby trouble I was having.  I
guess those stupid strippable 10mm nuts decided to let go.  I drove the
Rabbit 3 miles, and now the head is COVERED in oil.  It was getting
EVERYWHERE.  I am so pissed, I can barely think.

So, I guess I'm going to have to take my MAF challenged Golf to work
tomorrow.  There's nothing like driving a TDI in limp mode on the
freeway.  It's almost a challenge.
