That is a good story that I think I can believe! ;)

I'd like to know more about the early German radar systems though.

Oh, I had a 650 Yamaha twin gifted to me as a complete box of parts back in
about 1987.  I never did anything with it, no time.  It was the attractive
4-stroke one fashioned after the BSA.  I 'DID' have and ride the real 650
BSA when I was in my late teens.  It was a 1953 model with spring soft-tail
and single carb.

the no bullshit
version.

Some years ago I was heading North from SanDiego along the FANTASTIC
pacific highway
101  (on my 650 Ymaha twin)     ---I could not pass by the Spruce Goose in
LA ?  could I ?
NEVER have no fear --- without putting my sticky fingerprints all over it.
I was not
disappointed ----it was worth every dollar and ----I felt like I was back in
1947.

In the middle of the fuselage is a platform ----one can see all the way to
the tail
inside---nothing covered the keel sectors in the back.    Some sort of Guy
in a fancy uniform
with lots of salad on his chest was giving lectures and keeping order.(NO
stealing of souvenirs)

I said Sir  --am I in the Goose? --he said yes.  ---then I jumped up in the
air as high as
I could ---and I said Sir was I airborne in the Goose ? ----I made him sign
the program to
that effect.

So now you know --that I have come a long way since I flunked English in
Denmark.

And  Bob in entire state  --thank you for invitation. --BUT St Peter shakes
his head --- BUT

I sure would have liked to see N.Y. again ---and the APPLE.

And Alexander yes I was in Denmark  1945 --1946 and 1947.  ----and it was a
playground like
nothing ever seen since.----NO Gestapo  NO danish police --NO danish
military or
if you like  --Hagar  had a ball   -- before order was restored. I did get
arrested a couple of times in 1946.

For stealing (looting) the Kastrup airbase and  a   German fire hall . All
the aircraft were left fully
intact   ---go figure. ?   Gassed and loaded mith munition. Base was part of
the Himmelbelt
and the Kammhuber line. ---Lots of fancy Radars.--- They did not have Radar
in 1940 you
say ?  ---wake up.   ---

Injection pumps by BOSCH ?  sure they were all over the place.   And the
Jumo diesel  had
two pistons per cylinder .---The american Roosa Master injectin pumps  (GM
V8)   likewise
has two pistons in the cylinder not one like the BOSCH VE pump.   --I will
take the
BOSH any time.
