[Vwdiesel] Why gasss cars mpg sucks

 So maybe it is OK to run
it for a while w/o feeding fuel into the metering pump.
Never tried
it myself.

I Hagar agree with Roger Brown -------DO NOT  over do it.     ---Remember piston does
rotate and move back and forth. ---------- SO ?   some lubricatin is required.

In the context  discussed  ---IMHO    it is not a BIG issue.

PS :      I have tried it with NO ill effects.    ---- the critical parts like Vanes main bushings internal gearing
and so on is protected.
