Sandy Cameron and ALL : ---- Canola ? for a Rabbit ? great
stuff. ---- BUT we have our
very own resident Canola expert James Hansen.

My experience with RIMINI Canola is that it is amazingly stable ---- IMHO
good for a very long time out
of the fridge.( 10 years?).
_______

The chemical structure of the proteins change as they oxidize. It smells
rancid, yes, and that's just oxidized oils you're smelling... which is the
oil going to a lower energy state, so academically you are losing energy as
well as the bonds accept oxygen, but that's a fiddling amount. I would doubt
a really rancid oil would have the same properties as a non-rancid oil as
far a lubrication and not leaving varnish behind go. I do know that a veg
oil that gets rancid on metal parts that sits for an extended period will
dry like linseed oil and leave a coating. Can't imagine what goodness would
come out of that in an injection pump.

The differences you see with Rimini vs other brands may have to do with the
oil extraction process. As far as I know, nobody is still solvent
extracting the oil, but it is expeller (squeezed) processed. More squeezing
gets longer chains, less gets lighter oil, shorter chains, like olive oil to
some extent. Yours might still have some varsol in it from the solvent
extraction process that keeps it liquid.

(kidding)
lol!

and the other what and from where does SLIME in water come from ?.
____________
Algae and bacteria. Depends on the source, water phosphate content, how it
was treated, etc. Regular city domestic water from a river source that has
been properly treated and all, will still wind up with an algae growth in an
x-ray film processor wash tank in summer. Not as bad in winter when there is
less single celled algae in the river, and you can sterilize the tank, and
it's back in no time, which leaves the water as the source of organisms.

Be careful with Wendy sauce. ------ smell it ----and make sure it is not
too far gone.
_____________}

I take it this is personal experience talking? LOL! I rustled up some
Ketchup packages from the catacombs of the westy one day when I was at work.
It squeezed out looking like soy sauce. It was nasty. I notice there are
expiry dates on ketchup squeezy packages now. :-)

And by the way Loren ----you did hit me where it hurts ------I said should
be done ---I ment
COULD be done ---about removing furnace tanks. --- And only where Gas is
available.
Like in my driveway. ----But I will not give up that tank ----without a
fight.
_________

Got natural gas here ten years ago. Was forced to use the government utility
troops to run the line, which means a "work" crew of seven watched the
private contractor they hired do the actual work, but all at my expense. 16K
by the time that was said and done. I just loooooove crown corps with a
passion. *spit*
