Good morning all, can anyone help me with this trick
to remove the rear drum without having to fight with
the 46MM super bolt.....
This is a clip from another fellow vanagon man,
"You don't need to remove the 46MM nut. Just remove
the two 11MM bolts that are near the lug nuts. Get a
good sized hammer 3-5 lb. And give it a good whack
around the outside edge. It should pop loose after a
couple of good hits. Might even jump off the axle and
inch or so exposing the shoe"
Are these 11mm bolts on the face of the drum, can
someone better describ the process.
Thanks, I am sure it is in the archives but I have not
found it yet.
