Worked on a Piper Pawnee that had a substance added to the fuel that 
ruined the engine.  It was a liquid that crystalized when it was 
injected with the fuel into the hot cylinders.  Ground the rings right 
out, kinda like a screwed up Bon Ami breakin.  Fortunately the pilot had 
taxied to the end of his strip instead of just throwing the wood to it 
right from the hanger, and the engine died when he turned around to 
begin his takeoff.  No I also wont reveal the substance used either.
