If possible to overcome the difficulties involved with sugar as fuel
(caramelizing) then it would seem to do far better than alcohol as far as BTU's from
initial grains. There is a significant reduction of energy when sugar is
turned into alcohol. That energy is what those wonderful little yeasties live off
of.
In my line of work (hardwood floors), I end up with litterally bags and bags
of sawdust/sanding dust. How can I run that through my diesel?
I was thinking of making a furnace to run off wood dust, or using a pasta
maker to turn the dust into pellets for a pellet stove. Any other suggested
uses? I won't be getting any hampsters, and don't spill enough oil on the
driveway to use up the dust.
