no
bracket doesn't look like that
(remember this is the 02B transmission on a 93 EuroVan Diesel)
if you pop the hood and look down past the (transverse) engine to the  
right
on top of the tranny yo see the gate rod coming forward from the shifter
it terminates in a tee with a nylon ball at either end
the left (passenger side) ball sits in a horizontal cylindrical rubber  
bushing in a metal bracket bolted to the tranny
this bushing has failed
I have bound the ball into joint by wrapping wire around the gate rod  
and bracket
this is working great so far - shifter feels excellent - snick snick
