[Vwdiesel] Front end bearing noise (again)

Anyone ever see a situation where the bearing that gets unloaded
makes the noise?  


  Not quite the same but I have a BAD front wheel bearing on the Jetta 
now.  Could hear it more crunching than growling as something not-good 
was happening.  I can feel the wobble while rocking the wheel but it 
makes no noise to speak of, straight or turning either direction.  I did 
have what I thought was one of the CV joints clacking.  Don't hear that 
anymore.  Strange, just haven't had time to fix it so I just keep the 
fingers crossed.  It does tend to dart around slightly but the ps has 
gotten low too.  Gonna dump,purge and refill though.  Hopefully to 
extend the life of the rack.  :-)
