I have to agree with you Andrew...
I know I am also a transgressor; but with the way the world is at the
moment  (and most on both sides of the pond affected to their detriment);
  its hard not to express a view which is invariably somewhat polarized.
However having looked at some of the sites that I used to frequent; but
gave up due to the off topic rants from some crazy people; I feel I must
not be part of downgrading this one from it's somewhat unique position
(that I've been able to access) of an extremely varied skill base.
This is the best site I've found for reaching a consensus to a problem that
may have never been solved before.
 Members here are not adverse to throwing the Bentley or Haynes into the
fire at times and pulling something different out of the ashes.
 Sometimes I have something to contribute and sometimes I don't and just
like to aggravate instead ;^)..
My greatest sadness is that no-one tried to have a pop at Blair in
retaliation. If anyone had; I'd have swum across the pond  and met up with
you and...
faced East and shouted alongside you.
If  I need to have a pop at our leaders in the future, I'll push it out on
the Wart list. Although its often  less crowded than shouting at a mirror
in a room at a mental asylum :o(
I make no promises abut my 'diesel' poetry though ;^p
