[Vwdiesel] New clutch slipping like mad

I had a problem once when I did a clutch and put the metal ring
between the block and the pressure plate instead of between the bolts
and the pressure plate. Put the plate just far enough out that it
put constant pressure on the push rod, thereby actually meaning that
the clutch was partially activated all the time. If you paid to have
this installed, I would take it back and make them check it out at
their expense BEFORE you burn up the clutch. If you did it yourself,
you will simply have to bite the bullet and drop the tranny again to
check everything out. Hayden
