  A real common problem a few years ago.  Rear door latches were set 
to "child" setting which makes the doors open from the outside only.
(double, blind date setting???)  ;-D
  Then the outside door handle fails and you can't get in.  I don't remember 
the ideal solution for getting it open but careful breaking of the outside 
door handle is one.  Then you can open it with a rod or finger and replace 
the handle, which needs replacing anyway.  Seems like one could pull 
the rear seat out and get at all the snaps and screws but seems like 
people have had a lot of trouble with that approach as well.
