Speaking of beating dead horses...  ;)

I for one feel I am better off WITH these occasional rants than without.
I have also learned long ago, to never ignore the wisdom of our elders
even if the educational value is not very clear. 

Svend, my friend, cast off the flak jacket. Face the horde with open
arms. Absorb all rebuttals, for that which does not kill makes one
stronger.

Tangents concerning taxes are relevant to this diesel list. We usually
get screwed with higher taxes than our gasoline counterparts. Valid!

Tangents concerning education is relevant. Because somehow the Ivy
League upper crust idiots whom get elected dictate how we live our lives
with no knowledge of how things work on the streets. Valid! (of course
this can be stretched to schools, teachers, and even other countries)

Tangents concerning Politics? Hell yes! Refer to #1 and #2.

In the end, that which makes us better than the average sheep in the
flock, is the ability to sort through the chaff and rhetoric and get to
the heart of the matter. 

Oh, and the delete key works wonders. Believe it or not, it takes less
of your time and energy to just freakin' delete the damn post than to
actually respond to it.
