[Vwdiesel] Power steering bracket

My 91 ECO with AC has that "pot metal" bracket that bolts to the block at
the oil pan. The one bolt that goes to the tension bracket, if memory serves
me correctly is barely hanging onto the bracket from where the bracket is
broken and a piece missing from it. It still tightens down  and holds and
hopefully will for a long long time.

  I just had mine off recently (to change the stupid oil filter) and I don't

recall any of it being alloy.  No cracks, no breaks.  Is there an alloy 
and non alloy one or is a part of it alloy that I didn't notice?  Looked 
cad plated if anything.  Of course I just looked at the part that bolts 
up to the block and into the front.
