I don't think the GR2s were out when I last had some KYB struts installed. But yes, you must take them back to the place of
purchase for the KYB return, in my case that place was no longer in business and with no good receipt I was SOL on getting a
replacement for mine. I think mine ended up getting "cooked" after a week long trip over bumpy dirt and gravel roads. But even
new, the KYB Gas-Adjust up front were no match for the several year-old Bilsteins.
