[Vwdiesel] Oil question

Yeah, the Rotella T 15-40 has a very low pour point, but herer, without a
pan heater, is just not thin enough- too long to get oil pressure on certain
things.
The oil I stood my pocket knife up in IIRC was quaker state 5-30 intended
for winter around here. I was going to use it to add to the starting engine
on the cat. Wound up cutting the top off, and marvelling at the pretty
colored grease. I added it to the tranny instead, and put real oil in the
starting engine.

I remember you looked up the pour point on the oil I use and it was
surprising just how viscous it is at really low temps, for a dino oil
especially. :-) 'Splains why I've never had any real trouble in cold
weather!
