[Vwdiesel] Limping Home: Front Wheel Bearings

Val Cristian --- I took note of everything you wrote and I tried to do all  ---on the
trip.(and before)

Sorry to say I did not make it ---I wound up limping home.------Sorry Louanne and Lucy, I
tried my best-----------sure was close.      All the flyboys know what I am talking
about ---POINT of NO return.

Somewhere on  the Sechelt Peninsula  Bunny Bondo complained so loud --that I had to abort
the trip.
--When you feel the vibration  in your feet ?  ---- That trip is a lot of Hairpin turns at
high speed.

Good news ?    sure  Weather was 100%   ---pavement ? ---ready for skateboards (NO
potholes).

--Wound up having Clam Chowder with a really nice lady from Quebec.  --on the first ferry.

Funny thing above 110 Km/h   ---things smoothed out.  ?  -----Price of fuel ? -self
serve ----1.16 Kanada dollars    --for a litre.  on highway 101   Sechelt
peninsula. -----.

A bit further and I could have a new bearing installed in Seattle.----BUT remember the
driving was at NIGHT. ----Not nice with a front wheel lock-up.    Bonny Bondo   kept
complaining and said ---you stupid bastard don't you listen to James Hansen and ALL ? ---I
said sweet Bunny I do I do.----and I turned around.

Bunny Bondo is home and will get a NEW bearing or whatever it takes.----Now you all know
why I never liked that bearing setup----and by chance I have the Patent of Mr. Timken and
partner here in front of me.----Amerikan know how.--No. 606,635   June 28  1898  ---and
still the best IMHO.---Rear legs are Timpken ---on Rabbits.---Why ? NOT the front ?---
stupid.

Annabelle is all Timpkens   ----and they are easy to change---I did one in a snowdrift in
Sandy Cameron Land  ---- She is a 1960  Landrover 109 series 2. (Best ever) -----Annabelle
the Rolls and Bunny Bondo?---that is right.  --Bondo a VW --for the Volks.--Annabelle for
the rich.---notice the sleight of language -------If you are poor (not rich)  ---get a
Rabbit diesel ---if you are a good or in training DIY   fanatic.
-final NOTE ?  ---that try makes me in good standing   with the Barmores ,Doigs,Togos and
Sheltons----in Seattle WA USA.----even the Ralkowskies  I think ?.

PS : Yes she was a SUPER wife and  Housekeeper.   --and before the Honda Prelude ?--she
had a VW Station Wagen  -----by the way she played a MEAN game of Chinese Checkers..
