[Vwdiesel] the 1.9 TD

Hi Bryan,

I believe it is a 12 sided bolt..(Isaw it for but a few seconds before I
handed it to my mechanic friend)

The head was a used one from a wrecker. Out of nearly 50,000 participating
wreckers in Noth America, only 2 in Canada had a head...one in BC and the
other in MB. My old head needs two new valves and two lifters. I'm going to
rebild my orignal head and keep it for a spare...sit it right next to my
original 5-speed transmission after I tinker and find a way to rebuild the
reverse gear.

It's been nearly two weeks without my car...I've been drivng the wife's b9
subaru tribeca in the interim...what a pig on fuel  that is...city driving
gets barely 300 kms on a full tank!
