[82 Diesel Westy]

You mean the famous crank bolt of early AAZ motors? 
Was this bolt the new 12 point crank bolt or the old 6
sides style.  I have trouble believing that just a new
type of bolt fixed this issue.

Let us know, glad you got the head back, that was 500
Canadian to fix, not USD, correct?
