Bow-Wow, in Lynnwood, has them. I have a set I bought off eBay for
only $20, from some guys in PA. They had a bunch more, you could see
if you can pick another set up from them. Or if you like, you can
borrow mine. The cheap set is not as nice as the Schley that you'd get
for $45 from Bow-Wow or vwdieselparts.com, but I modified mine so that
it gets the job done satisfactorily.
Another tip: the NAPA Auto Parts at 125th and Lake City Way has all
the valve adjusting puck shims. I also have nine spare pucks of
assorted sizes from when I did my valves. You're welcome to use them,
as long as I get nine back. I'm located just east of the U-District,
in Seattle.
