[Vwdiesel] Engine/transmission mounting problem

Which way Eric?
To the right, left, rear?

The flanges look exactly the same?

If you pull on the driveshaft, moving it toward the trans flange, the 
axles move quite a bit toward and away from the cv joint.   It just 
isn't binding in the joint?
