[Vwdiesel] IP Leak

I've had an issue with the timing advance shaft seal in my 81 Jetta, but I
replaced it with an O-ring from one of those Harbor Freight kits that I had
and it's been good so far. I think I'll order a seal kit to have on hand
cause I expect the next one to go before too long. My dad's pump is leaking,
also from the timing advance shaft, but he thinks maybe also from the pump
drive shaft seal. I'm really hoping that's not the case, but we haven't
finished taking the pump off yet to see.

I've been told that the lower sulfur was somehow rough on the old style
rubber and the new stuff was supposed to be immune from it. I sure hope that
that is still true. Might have been old knowledge from the last time that
the sulfur went down...
