  What's the vw part number on the pump.  I have a list of as many pump 
numbers as we could scrape up, of original application and timing for pumps 
by the numbers.  :-)  Sounds like your timing's possibly off, maybe too 
advanced by a bit.  Also could be bum injectors adding to things.
