Rod,

Biodiesel is methyl ester. That is a fatty acid chain with a methyl
group "tacked" on. How biodiesel is made is (over simplified) taking the
triglycerides (veggie oil), and breaking off the glycerin (that's what
typically make veggie oil sticky), and attaching a methyl group.

Biodiesel is non-toxic, and does not become sticky like veggie oil.
