This is interesting news. I originally got stock bearings for my TD rebuild, but the shop I took 
the block to didn't have to the tooling to ream them in place. So he ordered pre-reamed 
bearings and installed those. Your comment makes me wonder if this could have something 
to do with my oil pressure troubles, which continue even after the rebuild. My oil pressure is 
only slightly better than before rebuild (20-25psi hot at the head @2000rpm with 15w40), and 
that was with 300k+ kms, and int shaft bearings that were flaking apart.

Next time I will definitely find a shop who can do the bearings properly.
