connection to 12volts. looks like a valve. (I'm thinking maybe its function
is like the old solex pict28 carb electric choke) Otherwise I'm Not sure
what its purpose is or how I need to hook it up. Anyone familar with this?
The guy at the parts counter says this is the replacement for N/A diesel pumps.

I think thats for the 1.9TD
Thats what the pump on my 94 looks like.
It will work just fine on the 1.6, but you may have to powerthe solenoid
when running.
It is connected to something that retards the timing when under light load,
advancing it when you put the hammer down.

I'll look it up in my AAZ bentley andlet you know
