[Vwdiesel] oil change intevals...

I've started taking some blotter samples, but it'll be a while before I have something to 
compare with. For now, I've noticed the amount of short trips in my Jetta (kid-hauler, I drive it 
only once per week) has caused noticeable soot loading and thickening of the oil. The car 
had only gone 6500 kms since June 05 as of last weekend when I changed it. Even my wife 
noticed it cranked faster and sounded better after the oil change! 
When I used to drive 3k or more per month, and change it at 7-8k kms (5k miles), the oil 
didn't look as bad as this - it was like tar! I think I will change at 5k or 6 months from now on 
unless usage changes.
