[Vwdiesel] OT: diesel hatchback suggestions ??

  As long as he's not planning on loading a double bass drum 
set or such...  ;-)
  The Golf isn't as cavernous as a Passat or a Jetta wagon but 
so long as what they have will fit then I like them.  I've driven 
Dad's a bit lately.  Getting around 40mpg, good performance, 
GREAT driving and handling!  Only gripe is it tends to downshift 
more easily than needed.  Not slushy.
  Only catch is that for a recent auto Golf, they're looking at about 
$2K more than a similar stick it seems.  Dad's )@ was $thirteen 
something with 50K and was one of the cheaper ones I came across.
