  We just finished kicking this subject around a bit ago.  Consensus 
was that the ratio of metal removed vs open space removed was so 
small that it'd have next to no effect.
  Peeve time:
  Good time to check your valve seats, exhaust valve stems and valve 
guides and seals for wear and replace/reface as needed.
