[Vwdiesel] Thought on "engine dies when cold start knob is pushed in" problem

Loren, I think you may be right, mine is an '89, and the pump has a lot more
things to adjust than my '81 does - including what I guess is the idle speed
screw (vertical one with a spring around it). It's also apparently controls
residual pump pressure, according to Bentley. I'm going to tackle my fuel-flow
issues this weekend and then I'll report back. I heard somewhere that too much
vacuum in the fuel line will cause residual pressure to be wrong, and then it's
impossible to time the pump right.
