What type of noise can I expect if a rear wheel bearing is going bad?

I hear something when the Caddy is rolling. It sounds like it's on the
drivers side. It changes its tune as I go faster. The drivers side front
wheel bearing is new about six months ago. There isn't any vibration, yet.

Where should I start looking? Do CV joints make noises that change tune with
speed? There is no clicking or clunking when I make turns.

If it might be a rear wheel bearing, can I save it by repacking it or is it
already gone?
