First: Snug up your injector lines. There's no need to have them loose
to prime the system.
Then get a couple cups of diesel fuel in a clean container and have a
small funnel or such handy. Pull the fuel return line banjo bolt from the
top of the pump and pour the pump full of fuel.
Hold the pedal about half way down and crank. You shouldn't need to
crank it more than a couple times of about 15 seconds of cranking.
Be sure your timing is correct, was set with advance knob in and it's
now out for starting, glow plugs working and all that and it should start
right up!
Timing belt tensioner should be rotated clockwise to tension the belt
plus it should be almost a tad loose, not loose but not tight either. It'll
get tighter when it warms up and often ends up too tight which will wear
your input shaft bushing for the pump.
