[Vwdiesel] 'Rod-the-Fin's fault finding mission

Rod sent these four questions to me....
(1) "Haven't been able to post to vwfans for a while now... don't know why,
(2) I've just pulled my TD engine to bits and the prechamber inserts are
cracked
on 2 cylinders... (about 6 or 7mm) If I replace them should I replace all 4?
And
(3) On an '87 Syncro TD, jammed in beside the snorkel is a cooling fan for
the
turbo,
there is a relay and a plug for a temp sensor I guess.... Any ideas where
the
sensor is??

(this "student" mills his own cylinder head gaskets from aluminium!! and has
made a turbo balencing tool... etc... nice links on his home page...
