They were attacking bogus high mileage myths tonight - miracle carb,
magnets to "ionize" the fuel,, acetone/gas mixture (anyone but me
remember the mothballs in the fuel tank myth?), hydrogen injection,
etc. they busted all of them - nothing worked. Last test was with a
diesel Mercedes using cooking oil the showed an MPG of 30 mpg on a
closed course as opposed to 32 mpg on straight diesel. Unfortunately
they concluded that "all you have to do is pour it in the tank and
go" so they may cause a bunch of people to screw up their cars. Hayden
