[Vwdiesel] Hydraulic Lifter Question

They will not "pump up" until the motor gets running,
could take even a few minutes for them to pump up or
light driving down the road and back. I can only
atest to this from my exp. with an 86 1.8 gasser head
I installed and started, that had read back valve
tapping noise until they pumped up, but this did not
affect the starting of the motor.
