Dont file the whole piston top down to the bottom of the indent, just round
the edges of the dent off so they don,t collect carbon, and put it back in.

The engine will be balanced.
The piston  is squirter-ready
It will be very comfortable in its old home.
If the valve is a bit long, it will fit comfortably into the dent.

And every one will be happy.
