Hi all, short-time lurker and first-time poster here.  Not even a Diesel
owner yet ... from the quattro list.

Seems to me that the above sender is not the correct rating for your
engine.  I had a similar issue on an NG Audi engine, 2.3 5 cyl. gas - it
tripped the oil warning at 3K RPM.  The sender was the wrong one of 2
offered for that engine.  Maybe the Family Album would show a sender used on
your engine in some application.
