[Vwdiesel] vanagon vacuum pump versus rabbit pump

[82 Diesel Westy]

The Vanagon pump is as simple as they get, both 1.6na
and 1.9na.  The are different size holes in the block,
so you can not interchange.

Anyway, just hard plastic tube connects to it that
runs 14 feet to the front of the van and up to the
brake booster under the inst. cluster.  Nothing could
be more simple.

The crank case gets vented by a tube that connects to
the valve cover, it Y's and has two connections to the
intake manifold.

I guess this would produce more vacuum and most likely
it is needed because of the LONG distance it must
travel to get to the brake booster.
