Easy enough to swap the speedometer (this is a writeup on swapping the tach, but speedo
swap is the same):

Might make sure the speedo cable is well attached at both ends. Also, see if the speedo
needle has worked loose on the center post.
And check that the plastic odometer drive gear is intact:

If that is sticking, it can affect the speedo reading as well.
