I wonder how many of you are aware of algae growth, causes, & remedies. I learned the hard way back in 1980 when living in LA although I was forewarned by an article in the now defunct Diesel Car Digest (I think that is the name) which I still have in storage. Basically, algae will grow in diesel fuel if there is algae & water or moisture in the tank & the temperature is above 93 degrees F. To prevent this, ad some biocide to the fuel to kill off the algae. I have some Biobar JH which I bought I think, around 20 years ago & the can is still nearly full. a little goes along way. I add about 4 or 5 drops to a 16 ounce of Amsoil diesel fuel modifier, because Amsoil doesn't add a biocide, or at least didn't the last time I checked. I have had no problems with algae since I started using Biobar JH around 26 years ago as I recall. If you can't find a biocide at your auto parts store, try a boating & marine parts store as algae growth I am told is more a problem in a marine environment.
