Makes sense to me. I will put it back on. 
Since my last post, I took my Dasher for a good test drive. Seems to run fine, no overheating. A friend of mine suggested I retorque the head while hot, so I did so. As some of you may recall, I installed 12mm ARP racing studs obtained from Summit Racing of Reno. They recommended torque to 80 pounds which I did. I found some of the studs needed tightening & others didn't. Now I will cross my fingers & hope the right front part of the block holds which has a crack holds. I drilled & tapped that block hole down into the water jacket, gaining an additional inch to tap &  used high temperature silicon to seal that hole that hole. No signs of water leakage but will add some stop leak to be on the safe side.
